The construction industry awards celebrate some of the best people, projects and products from across the sector.

British Construction Industry Awards

Run in collaboration with the Institution of Civil Engineers and New Civil Engineer all four of our entries made it through to the shortlist.

In recognition of our commitment to innovation, we’ve been nominated for a second year running in the category ‘Industry Innovation Champion’. We’re up against some mighty industry names for this award – Alice Technologies and Skanska Costain Strabag JV, Balfour Beatty Vinci, Cora and Sellafield.

And in the category ‘Product Innovation of the Year’, three of our innovations made the line up. Our Half-Loader Spreader Module, ALIMATS® Load Spread Solution for MEWPS – and our small and large plastic Hole Covers.

Construction News Specialists Awards

We entered two products in the category ‘Innovation of the Year’ – and both were shortlisted. The first is our Half-Loader Spreader Module designed to provide a more even load spread under high outrigger loads. It complements our existing range of ALIMATS® and spreads the outrigger load over two locations, instead of one. And our second nomination is for our Hole Cover system – a simple, fast and cheaper way of covering temporary holes on site.

Brilliant Ideas has also been shortlisted in the category ‘Equipment Specialist of the Year’. We won this award last year. It was a super proud moment when our name was called out – we’ll treasure the moment walking towards the stage to collect our trophy. We’re hoping to secure a second win this year!

Altrad, HS2, Clancy, FP McCann, Kier, BAM, Balfour Beatty, Costain, ISG, Laing O’Rourke Interserve, Willmott Dixon, Mace and Severfield – are just some of the names who use our innovations on their sites. Chris Massey is the inventor behind each one. He’s been solving problems through innovation for the last 35-years. In all, we own 34 patents with more on the way.

The winners will be announced later this year at awards ceremonies in London.
